Christmas

David and I went home for Christmas and had a blast! However, David and I are not so great at remembering that we have a camera with us so pictures are limited.
We went home on Christmas Eve morning and spent the day and night with my family. My parents cook an amazing meal and we open gifts from parents and siblings. We had a special surprise this year and Santa showed up! He knew about some of our past wrong doings, I will not mention them here, but he also knew about the good stuff too. The kids loved it.

We spent Christmas day with David's family and had breakfast and dinner with them. We got to see David's niece and her husband and son that we hadn't seen in about 4 years. It was great to see them and spend time with the whole family. As you can see we forgot to take the camera with us.

A few days before we left it snowed! There was already snow on the ground when we got there but I love to see it snow and I love the way it sits on the branches. It is just beautiful.

My mom and I made caramels and dipped them in chocolate. They were so good! We usually make cherry cordials, almond joys, and peanut clusters as well but I wanted to learn how to make the caramels again because they are my favorite!

We left on New Years Eve morning and flew into Memphis, TN. We decided to go downtown and look around. This is Beale St. They were getting ready for the New Years Eve party that night. We definitely want to go back and eat some more great BBQ. We ate some amazing dry rub ribs and they were delicious. I had to call my dad and rub it in afterwards!

I loved being home and seeing family. It was the best Christmas present. David and I are half way done here in Mississippi and I get to see my family again soon!
