Yesterday was my very first formation ride in the T-6 and it was one of the coolest things I have ever done. We took off as a formation with me as the wingman and headed out to the area. I flew for different parts but a lot of it was demo-do by the Instructor Pilot. Flying only ten feet from another airplane is really crazy. As you increase the bank it seems like you are going to fall into each other but you stay right together. Halfway through the flight we switched places and I took the lead postion to allow the other student to practice flying the different manuevers before heading back to Columbus where I gave him a salute then broke out for the landing. Formation is very challenging but really cool. I am looking forward to more formation work in the coming weeks.

Formation

thats awsome. Erik loved doing formation too I think it was his favorite. I am looking forward to seeing you guys in just less than a week
