More Fun and an Early Christmas

David and I had a fun Thanksgiving this year. David has been working with a guy named Fred out at the airport here in Altus. He and his wife invited us over for Thanksgiving dinner and it was delicious. It was better than the roast we were going to cook in our crockpot :)
David has been working with Fred to get ready for his Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) oral and practical exam. All the hard work paid off because after 8 hours of testing David passed and now has his A&P certificate!

This will allow David to work as a mechanic on FAA certified aircraft. I am again so proud of him and all the hard work he has done to get this certificate as well as finish up his pilot training.
Yesterday we went to a park in Altus where they have it all decorated for Christmas. This was the only picture that turned out, sorry.

We also decided to have an early Christmas. We were going to wait until we got home in February to celebrate Christams and give each other gifts. There is a lot we want to do in our house and obviously we can't do it while we are here. However David found an amazing deal on what he wanted. He has been looking at the wet/dry Shop Vacs for awhile. On Thanksgiving Day we saw a commercial for Lowe's and the sale they were having. I love that their sale was going on that day and that you could purchase it online, have it delivered to the store for free, and then pick it up at your own convenience. We saved $50 buying his Shop Vac that day!
With his present bought I went and bought me a new pair of boots! So Merry Christmas to us a month early.

Hope everyone has fun this holiday season. We miss you guys and we will see you in about 2 1/2 months!
